   Janet Ernst Campbell of Alachua died Saturday at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, after a long illness.  She was 46.

   Born in Lake City, Mrs. Campbell lived in Gainesville before moving to Alachua in 1973.  She was a graduate of UF College of Education.  She was a second grade teacher at Alachua Elementary School, listed in Who's Who Among American Teachers and a member of Phi Delta Kappa honor society.

Patricia Gale Cossaboom,69 of Palm Bay, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Pat grew up in Gainesville, FL and was an diehard Gator fan. Pat retired after 30 years with Harris Corp. She enjoyed scuba diving with her husband and friends.

Survivors include her sons, Steven P. Cossaboom, and Alan E. Cossaboom; daughter, Karen Cossaboom Murray; and a loving grandson, Coby.

    Charlotte George Wright of Gainesville died Friday at her mother's home after a long illness.  She was 46.

    Born in Ocala, Mrs. Wright lived in Gainesville from 1945 to 1974, graduated from GHs in 1962.  She moved to Palatka in 1974 but returned to Gainesville last year.  She recently retired after 25 years of employment with the Putnam and Alachua county sheriff's offices.  Mrs. Wright was a member of the Xi Iota Tau chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.  She was a Catholic.

   Military rites for Pfc. Michael Gooding, 23, formerly of Seattle, were held yesterday in San Mateo, CA.

   He had been missing since December while on leave from the 8th Infantry Division at Bad Kreuznach, Germany.  His body was found August 24th on Zugspitze mountain, where it is assumed he died of a fall while mountain climbing.

   Private Gooding, born in Bremerton, attended schools in Seattle and Gainesville, FL.  He attended Western Washington State College two years before enlisting in the Army in April, 1965.
