Charlotte George Wright of Gainesville died Friday at her mother's home after a long illness. She was 46.
Born in Ocala, Mrs. Wright lived in Gainesville from 1945 to 1974, graduated from GHs in 1962. She moved to Palatka in 1974 but returned to Gainesville last year. She recently retired after 25 years of employment with the Putnam and Alachua county sheriff's offices. Mrs. Wright was a member of the Xi Iota Tau chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She was a Catholic.
Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Wright of Ozark, Ala; a son, charles G. "Chad" Wright of Gainesville; her mother, Virginia George of Gainesville; and two sistersm, Debbie Hebel and Patty Arnold, both of Gainesville.
