Gainesville Sun Obituary   April 15, 1982

   Clara Ethel Avinger of Santa Fe died Wednesday at North Florida Regional Hospital after a brief illness.  She was 37.

Born in Gainesville, Mrs. Avinger was a lifetime Alachua County resident.  She was an accountant at the Florida Farm Bureau and a member of the New Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Norman Avinger of Santa Fe; two daughters, Cassandra and Cathy Avinger, both of Santa Fe; her mother, Louise Gann of Gainesville; her father, General Gann of Gainesville; and four sisters, Serena Godwin, Verdene Hamilton and LaVerne Barger, all of Gainesville, and Sue Ann Polk of Brooker.
