This message is for Dub Murphy. I would like to suggest that you contact Eddie Ward's wife and inquire about the circumstances of his passing. I have a master address list if you are not able to find his address. Thank you. C. McGinnis
55th date good. I will make this one. Have a great summer.9A69
Could it really have come to this? 50 years already?? Thanks, Dub, you\'ve worked hard. Hope to see everyone in April in G\'ville. Amazing how many we have lost. . . carpe diem
It saddens me to discover so many of my classmates and friends have passed. I am so grateful to be alive and pray that anyone still here are also thankful for every day we can take another breath. Anyone who reads this should reach out to a friend and let them know no one has forgotten them.
nice website. simple and appears that you can add quite a bit of info and pics. keep up the good work.
Hello, Dub,This looks cheery and easy to navigate....I have seen others, too with lists for faculty, in memoriam, and places to allow members to contact each other....Does this have that info in the Classmates list? You should be able to check whether of not you mind being contacted.. I enjoyed seeing all the 45th reunion photos, but needed captions to ID people.....Hope you are well......Is Carolyn Ridgell Daniel in your list?Have a good spring....Gwen
Looks great Dub!!! Thanks for taking the time to put this together! Judi Creighton Rembert
great site.
I agree with Gwen, I would like to see a list of classmates.
I think this is gonna work just fine...... maybe a tweek here or there but can\'t think of one at the moment. Ein bisschen Apple Schnapps und alles ist gut.
Hi Dub,Just returned from Haiti...time for some more beer & bbq....I\'ll call you soon. Maybe we can get Tadlock to get a hall pass & join us.Jerry
Looks good to me! Next challenge will be to get people to log in and complete the info - which is pretty easy. Thanks for your work on this.
Nice work Dub. Format looks great!Good suggestions by those before me.Only additional comment is it is a bit slow loading - probably nothing you can do about this other then to go to another provider.

Sorry bout the typo on Gainesville. I know Mike Gengler and Peg taught us to proofread, but I had to show we all make mistakes. See you in Gainesville 4-29-22.
Thank you, Dub, for organizing anothe reunion for the Class of '62 of GHS this coming April 29. I will plan to be there for some of the events, but will stay with friend, Carolyn Ridgell Daniel in Gainesille, not at the hotel. It is truly hard to process that it has been 60 years since we wore the Graduation robes, and the chorus sang for our procession in the gym at the Univ. of Fla. --The Battle Hymn of the Republic, that I recall your mother coaching us to do . It was stirring for sure. I looked at the list of Missing Classmates, and knew some of them, but do not know any contact information for any of them. Unlike most of you who knew each other from Kindergarten, I was only at GHS my last 2 years of high school, but I have great memories of Peg Westmoreland's Journalism classes, my work with Mike Gengler , the Wednesday night Paste-Ups with the staff of the Raider Review, and some work on the yearbook, as well as all the hours in Chorus sessions for the musicals we put on, Annie Get Your Gun, and Kismet, as well as singing SSA in The Melodettes! You see our school subjects are not what is best remembered. Activities and sports are such a huge part of making high school life memorable. Our school was unique in having so many service clubs, too, as I have fond memories of working with Anchor Club for our skit at the Homecoming pre-game show, and cutting up paper to sell bags of confetti for the games every Friday night. Then, there were the dances at the Rec Center after the games that bonded our group. It is clear in my mind the nights that the Williams brothers and "Johnny" (Gerald Haskins) played for us out on the patio there. We must honor the great Proms in the GHS sym that the Junior Class put on for us, too. Moon River will forever bring to mind the lovely decorations and my date with Paul Martin, who has become such a success there in St. Augustine in his counseling practice. Not to discount my date to Prom the year before with George Sims, who was a real gentleman, too. Because I taught high school English for 30 years, including being Dept. Head, sponsoring the yearbook and newspaper, debate teams, literary clubs, Quill and Scroll, and Drama clubs, I can attest that the activities are crucial to young people having a good experience in high school for their teen years. It is because of bonds then among teams, groups, sports, and other clubs that we are thankful for our high school experiences. The subject classes were just the state requirements, but the friends from shared activities are the reason we go back to reunions and enjoy seeing and hearing about our classmates. We were 16, 17, 18 years old then, and impressionable. Now we are in our 70's, pushing at 80, and more than ever aware of the value of friendships. It is sobering to read the list also on this site of those in the Memorials, who have not survived to attend these gatherings. I do hope that more than ever, those still around will come to Gainescille in April 2022 for a hug. Gwen (McLeod) Lancaster, Waleska, GA on 2-13-22
Dub, kudos and deepest thanks for all you do and have done to keep our class together. I will miss the May reunion due to state sorority obligations, but my thoughts will be with you all. Dance and drink a few for me! My heart has never left Gainesville, and never will. I still wear Purple Hurricanes shorts and tees during football season, along with Orange and Blue of course. The best to all! Lyn
An update/correction to my entry on the 18th. Jill & I will be there for the Friday night function. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Thank you sooo much Judi & Dub!! Fred

Thanks, Dub, Judi and committee for planning, organizing our reunion....looking forward to a weekend filled with memories and fun.
Hello All,We just found out about the reunion today when a member of the class of \'59 showed up at our front door here in St. Pete! How\'s that for friendship & spirit across the years. We probably can\'t make it but all the best to everyone & have a lovely weekend.
Just came to site after email from Dub. Appreciative of what he is doing. Wish I had been more a part of the group over the years. I live in Orlando and am completely retired now for several years so don't have the excuse any more of being too busy to be envolved. Will definitely plan on being at the next event. Don't stop sending me reminders.
Im answering RSVP and browsing site Thanks for the recall
Looking forward to the future.
Kudos to Dub and committee for keeping this site up and keeping us informed about acitivties of The GHS Class of '62 ! I live an hour north of Atlanta, but am interested in all the class events and enjoy the site. I am grateful to the organizers who are continuing the scholarships and school support donations! Education is so important.
Hey, Classmates! Time is drawing near for our big 50th event. Your committee is working hard to get everything finalized. However at present we need your final payment for the weekend so we can finalize all our plans. It is really difficult to arrange our event when we don\'t have a final count. So please either pay on line at this site or send payment to Dub Murphree: 6608 Pahokee Court, Starke, FL 32091. THANKS! Judi
Hi Guys and Beautiful ladies: Mr Dub surprized me with a phone call a couple of days ago and reinformed me of the upcoming special occasion..as usual from high school days he is a good person of responsibility and i do appreciate his communication. For obvious reasons these reunions are becoming more special as time marches on and I hope to get my act together sometime. "Why hurry?" this is my question, heck what do I know, I\'m still peddling waterbeds....no, seriously I am. So, I\'m still trying to decide if I should close my shop and let my dad fend for himself saturday night. Being the procrastinator, I understand that no decision is a decision and I\'d just bore you to death with my waterbed pitch anyway. Time will tell but my thoughts and prayers will be with you all on this weekend. xoxoAndy
Dub and ALL the GHS '62 Committee deserve a huge shoutout for our 60th! Closing our eyes, it could have been six months, six years or sixty years. The voices, laughter and the music were the same. The stories of a funny incident in English or Chemistry, a gator "quest" on a moonlit Bevins Arm, or the passage to the present never stopped. Reflections and thoughts for those who have gone before us. Or,those undble to attend. Too many. We love you. Room on the dance floor didn't exist when "The Twist," "Moon River," or "Hang on Sloopy," were played. Knees and feet were sore but spirits are high. Thank you '62. F.
Wow! My first time on the website -- impressive -- a lot of conscientious effort and care has gone into making this a meaningful site. Thank you for doing this.
Dub, this is wonderful. Thank you for all the hard work. The pictures from th 45th are super. I recognized some of the faces and I\'m really looking forward to the Reunion. If there are any jobs that need to be done, please let me know. I\'d love to help. Margaret
Still here. Looking forward to the reunion.Victor
Dub got a hold of me today & informed me of the reunion. He tracked me down while I was on the Blue Collar tour. Wish I could be there, but I know everyone will have a great time.By the way, just kidding about the tour. I wish I looked as young as that Ron White.
Greetingd Canes:::The days are short, but the past lives on...Remember the Good Ole Days!Donna

Hi all, I was able to scrounge some money after all to be there. By taking the redey and a cheap flight I was able to make it. I look forward to seeing all of you
WHere did the time go?
Dub tracked me down on March 2. Thanks, Dub, for your efforts. Not yet sure if I can make the reunion, due to short time \'til re-union and scheduling issues, but hope to make it.Where has the time gone? It sure flies when you\'re having that fun. In 1962, we had some naivete, innocence, and some expectations. 50 years later, we have some life experiences and a heck a of a different current reality.Bless you all--hope to see you in 7 weeks.
I feel young again now that I am retired!
Looking forward to some "good Old Time Fun!"
