Penny Virginia Guy 69, died on December 7, 2013 in Marion, Illinois. She was born August 22, 1944 in Schenectady, New York to Albert and Mary Guy. She was also nurtured by Nellie Guy, her paternal grandmother.



While living on the farm in Lafayette, Indiana, Penny became proficient at riding and jumping horses.



She spent a year touring Europe including Germany and Russia with her family during 1958/59.



She graduated from Gainesville High School, with honors, in 1962. She majored in Russian and Biology in college, and eventually studied nursing, completing her LPN...

    James Frederick Guy Jr. of Winter Park died Thursday at Florida Hospital in Orlando.  He was 41.

    A native of Gainesville, Mr. Guy lived in Winter Park for the past several years.  He graduated from GHS in 1962 and attended St. Petersburg Junior College.  Mr. Guy received his bachelor's degree from Barry College  in Rome, GA, and his master's degree in education from Rollins college in Winter Park.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Orlando.

    Survivors include his mother, Hazel Guy of Gainesville;  and a sister, Mrs. Thomas B. (Jane) McBryde of Baton Rough, La.

COCOA BEACH  --  Ronald Wayne Haddock, 53, a retired Navy veteran, died Tuesday, October 28th at Cape Canaveral Hospital in Cocoa Beach.

  Mr. Haddock was born in Brooksville.  He came to Brevard county in 1990 from Gainesville.

  He was a Baptist.

  Survivors include his wife, Connie Haddock of Merritt Island;  son, Ronald Haddock, Jr. of Auburn, Al; daughter, Celeste Haddock of Merritt Island;  sister, Jackie Ouelette of Satelliet Beach;  and brother, Bobby Haddock of Houston.
