Carolyn Harms Thrasher Carolyn Harms Thrasher, 62, lost her battle with breast cancer Friday, May 4, 2007.
Until her disease prevented it, she loved to work, travel, snowmobile, snow ski and to attend Gator football games. But above all, she devoted her life to her family and was extremely proud of the fact that both of her children obtained college and law degrees and were able to practice law with their father as Thrasher, Thrasher & Thrasher.
She, like her husband and children, was a graduate of the University of Florida, where she enjoyed being a Gatorette in the marching band and received a bachelor's degree in education.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Elwin Thrasher Jr.; her son, Trey Thrasher and his wife, Bonnie Erskine Thrasher; her daughter, Laura Thrasher Clark and her husband, Major Padraig Clark; four grandchildren, Justin Thrasher, Andrew Thrasher, Kathryn Clark and Regan Clark; her father, Dr. Robert H. Harms, a graduate research professor who recently retired after 50 years of service to the University of Florida; and her brother, Robert Harms Jr. Her mother, Kathryn McAlister Harms, predeceased her.
