HAUFLER, RAYMOND EUGENE
Raymond Eugene Haufler, 69, of Hawthorne, passed away April 15, 2012 at his home. Ray was born and raised in Gainesville to Eugene and Annette Haufler and attended the University of Florida and Florida State University. He retired as a builder, Real Estate Broker and developer of many apartments, Office Complexes, mini storage facilities, hotels, homes, subdivisions and also Island Grove Baptist Church where he was a member.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Annette and Eugene Haufler. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cheryl Haufler, daughter Kimberly Meyer, sons Gene Haufler (Sheila), Scott Lester (Christine) and Chuck Lester (Kelly) and sister Sandra Sontag, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
So saddened to hear this. I had lost contact down thru the years. Remember so well, the good times we had out on the Haufler Farm...boiling peanuts and watermelon. Attending Gaiesville !st Church of the Nazarene together.Praying for all of your family.
