Mrs. Abercrombie was born in Gainesville and moved to Lake Worth in 1970. She was employed with Palm Beach County Adult Education at Santaluces High School. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady V. Ford Jr.

Survivors include a daughter, Cindy Ford of Lake Worth; a son, Eric Ford of Lake Worth; her former husband, Don Abercrombie of Surfside, S.C.; sisters Gloria Neal and Mona Crews; and three grandchildren.
