CREWS, PATRICIA L.
Mrs. Patricia L. Crews, 65, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 in a local hospital after a tough battle with multiple health problems including lymphoma. Born in Jacksonville, she lived in Gainesville through her early years, graduating from Gainesville High School in 1962, later attaining her LPN license. After marrying in 1966, she returned to the North Jacksonville area to start her family and career. Patricia retired after 19 years with Highlands Elementary School. She enjoyed reading, traveling, spending time with her grandchildren, and sitting outside by her lake. Her passion for football, especially the Gators and Jaguars was known by all. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Johnnie N. Crews; her mother, Geraldine Stuart; 3 daughters: Kimberly Jones (Mark) and their children, Matthew & Seth; Jodi Chila (George) and their children, Kelsey, Jordan & Madison; Johni Bradford (Brad) and their daughter, Morgan; a son: Larry Crews and his children, Melissa & Laney; 2 sisters: Barbara Mathis and Kathy Smith; 1 brother: Roland Stuart Jr. and his wife, Ginone. Patricia will also be missed by many loving nieces, nephews and in-laws; including one very special sister-in-law, Shirley Grosso; and longtime special friend, Melvenie Collins. She was an inspiration to all her knew her and will be greatly missed for her love and friendship.
