Susan Easter Van Winkle of Indio, Ca. died Nov. 27th in her home. She was 55.
Mrs. Van Winkle was born in Thomasville, NC and moved to Indio 10 years ago from Gainesville where sh had lived most of her life. She graduated from Gainesville High School and attended the University of Florida. Mrs. Van Winkle was a house mother for the ABC Club, a home for alcohol and drug dependent women in Indio. She was a Methodist.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Scarborough of Gainesville, two sons, Edward Van Winkle of Gainesville, and John A. Van Winkle, Jr. of Indio; one sister, Bette Kousi of New York City; two brothers, John E. Easter of Gainesville and Brad Easter of Jacksonville; and four grandchildren.
