Roy Lansing Haufler of Gainesville died Monday in Paisley in Lake County due to injuries suffered in a truck accident. He was 54.
Mr. Haufler co-owned Haufler Brother, a farming and construction company in Gainesville.
He was a lifelong residnet of the area and was a graduate of Gainesville High School, where he was president of the Future Farmers of America. He was a graduate of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural Collage in Tifton, Ga. Mr. Haufler was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Suvivors include his wife, Mary A. Haufler of Gainesville; a daughter, Karen H. Thomas of Gainesville; his father, Ernest L. Haufler of Gainesville; a brother, E. Robert "Bob" Haufler of Gainesville; a sister, Nancy Jean Fisher of Gainesville; and one granddaugher.
